We are very partial to freckled, red-haired children, Jane. Our grandchildren are used to being hugged and nibbled frequently, and as long as we don’t do it in front of their friends (they’re pre-teens now) they actually seem to enjoy it.

  I’ve always had a soft spot for gingers. Two of our three daughters are red heads. We don’t actually have a son (or grandson)–I just loved this pic!
